Directions via Bloemfontein: Drive past Worcester and through the Huguenot Tunnel. Take the second off-ramp Exit 59 PAARL (Jan van Riebeeck Drive), turn right at stop, go under the bridge and drive to the traffic circle. Take the first left at the circle (Market Street), drive over the bridge go three quarter way around the next circle (Berg River Boulevard). Continue to the T-junction. Take the left slip road, drive to the next T-junction and turn right. (Main Street). Continue through town and take the first exit marked Malmesbury/ Wellington. Continue across over the 4-way stop. Enter Malmesbury and continue to the T-junction. Turn right and drive up the hill (mind permanent speed trap) over bridge and onto N7 direction Springbok. About 5 km further take the turn-off towards Hopefield/Vredenburg. Drive past Hopefield and ignore Velddrif turnoff. The road takes you past the Langebaan weg Airforce Base and ends at the R27 intersection. Turn right towards Velddrif. Cross the river and at the stop in Velddrif turn left. About 1 km on you will see the Port Owen board – turn left into Port Owen.

Directions via Cape Town International Airport: Exit Cape Town International at traffic lights, drive under bridge and go straight. While on dual road move over to right lane. Follow N2 – Cape Town. Feed onto the N2 – Cape Town. Pass the power station and take the exit M5 NORTH – Milnerton – N1. Feed onto M5 and drive till you go up a bridge, move over to left lane and take City / Stad N1 route. Once on the N1 keep in the left lane and take the Exit 4 – Paarden Eiland – R27 Go over bridge and cross over stop. Carry on straight. You will see a Caltex fuel station on left. Carry on and stay on the R27. You will pass the following turn-offs: Melkbosstrand, Langebaan, Saldanha, Vredenburg The R27 ends at Velddrif – total distance 155 km. Once at the stop in Velddrif turn left. About 1 km on you will see the Port Owen board – turn left into Port Owen.
